I/ OBJECTIVES
By the end of the lesson, students can:
- Pronouce correctly the sounds /i:/ and /i/ in isolation and in context;
- Use the lexical items related to the topic “My neighbourhood”.

b. Lexical items - Vocab: words to name places in a neighbourhood /,word to discrible a neighbourhood ,word to give directions
c. Pronunciation: sound /i:/ and /I

- Cooperation, respect, having right and friendly attitudes with friends, teachers in the new school

- Practice saying the adjectives with Ss.
Use some examples to work the meaning out of the context.
-Then ask Ss to write the correct adjectives in the blanks.
-Play the recording as many times as required to allow Ss to check their answers and support their pronunciation.
- Explain the contents in " Watch out!" carefully to the Ss. T may take some more examples to illustrate.

- Explain that some words go together, but some don’t.
- Write the adjectives on the board and allow Ss to attach vocabulary cards to make matches.

- Play the recording.

- T asks some Ss to read out the words first , then plays the recording for them to listen and repeat the words.
- Ss listen and distinguish /i:/ and /I/
- Teacher asks Ss to circle the words while they listen .
- Ss compare their answers in pairs before T checks their answers with the whole class
5. Listento the sentences... (P40)
- Play the recording. Ss listen and repeat sentence by sentence.
- Help them to recognize the sounds and the rhythm.
6.Listen and practise the chant.. (P40)
- Ss practise the chant by dividing the class into two groups.
- Have groups sing alternate lines
