Unit 2 : My home Getting started I/ OBJECTIVES By the end of the lesson, students can: • Listen and read for specific information then practice listening and speaking with the lexical items related to the topic "My home". 1. Knowledge: a. Grammar : There is/are, there isn’t/there aren’t; prepositions of place. b. Lexical items : - Vocab: Types of houses, rooms and furniture. 2. Skills: • Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing and interactive skills 3. Attitude: • Cooperation, respect, having right and friendly attitudes with friends, teachers in the new school 4. Quality and competence: • Be confident and friendly with the new school environment • Develope listening, speaking skills and cooperative interaction II/ TEACHING AIDS (MATERIALS) .Teacher’s preparation: 2.Students’ preparation -Lesson plan, Pictures, posters ,textbook,CD-MP3(Computer-Multi projector/cassette/ “sách mềm”) and other materials Textbook, notebook, school things. III/ WORKING ARRANGEMENTS( WAYS OF WORKING ) • Pair work , individual work, group work, T-WC IV/ TEACHING PROCEDURE: 1. Greeting`and checking students’ adtendence: Total: In: ..... Out: .... 2. New lesson: Teacher’s activities Students’s activities Content Revision -Teacher asks whether students have any questions about the exercise in the workbook or not. - Listen and answer individually - Teacher writes on the board: My home - Tell me "home" in vietnamese. - “Home” can have different meanings. It can be the house or apartment where you live or can refer to a family living together. -Ask the teacher any difficult questions that they can’t answer. New Lesson 1. Listen and repeat Vocabulary - Teacher uses different techniques to teach vocab (situation, realia) - Follow the seven steps of teaching vocab. -Ask Students to guess what the picture might show or what the conversation might be about. - Ask Students questions about the picture. - Ask students to share any recent experiences of chatting online. - Ask students to talk a bit about the place where you live. 1a. (P17) - Play the recording - Ask Students to give the answers without reading the conversation again. - Ask students to read the conversation and check their answers. Confirm the correct answers 1b.
