  • Youthful - In his/her twenties: My cousin Tom is very youthful. He's always trying new things and has an infectious energy that rubs off on everyone around him.
  • Mature - Old enough to be responsible and make good decisions: My colleague Samantha is very mature. She's always very thoughtful and deliberate in her decision-making and people look up to her as a leader.
  • Retired - Stopped working full time (often after 65): My neighbor Mr. Johnson is retired. He spends a lot of his time gardening and reading, and always has a friendly word for everyone in the neighborhood.
  • Elderly - Looking and acting old: My great-grandmother is very elderly. She's in her late 90s and has trouble getting around, but she always has a positive attitude and loves to tell stories about her life.
  • Energetic - Older, but with the energy of a young person (positive): My uncle Dave is in his 60s but still has the energy of someone half his age. He's always running marathons and doing triathlons and is an inspiration to us all.
  • Childish - Older, but acting like a child (negative): My cousin Lisa is in her 40s but can be very childish at times. She throws tantrums when things don't go her way and often neglects her responsibilities.
