Liz: That's great. How do you like it so far?

Judy: It's been good. People seem friendly here.

Liz: Yeah, this city is known for its friendly locals. Are you making a good salary here?

Judy: I think so. It's my first job out of college, so I don't have much to compare it to.

Liz: Well, that's good to hear. I hope you like your work here.

Judy: Thanks, I'm looking forward to it.

Situation 2:

Andrei: Hi Eduardo, welcome to the International Students’ Club. Where are you from?

Eduardo: Hi Andrei, I'm from Brazil. What about you?

Andrei: I'm from Russia. That's cool, Brazil is such a beautiful country.

Eduardo: Yeah, it is. Have you been there?

Andrei: No, not yet. But it's on my list of places to visit.

Eduardo: You should definitely come. Do you practice a religion?

Andrei: Yes, I'm Orthodox Christian. How about you?

Eduardo: I'm Catholic. It's great that we can learn about different cultures and religions here at the club.

Andrei: Yes, I agree. It's always interesting to learn about new perspectives.

Mark: That's good to hear. I've been living here for a few months now, and it's been nice. Are you married?

Lisa: No, I'm not. How about you?

Mark: No, I'm single too. It's nice to have a friendly neighbor, though.

Lisa: Yeah, definitely. It's good to know someone in the building.

Student: Hi, I'm John. I thought it was pretty tough. How about you?

Liz: Yeah, I agree. I found some of the questions really challenging.

John: What was your grade on it?

Liz: I got a B-. I was hoping for an A, but I guess I need to study more.

John: Yeah, me too. I got a C+. It's tough to balance studying with everything else we have going on.

Liz: I know, right? But we can do it. We just need to stay focused and keep working hard.
